Jean FitzGerald has been managing director of the Irish Centre of Integrated Medicine (ICIM) for four years. Established in 2001, ICIM combines conventional medical practices with natural alternatives, offering individual and corporate clients a range of diagnostic services include homeopathy, acupuncture, blood analysis and allergy testing. The company employs six medical staff at its offices in Naas, Co. Kildare.
Q. What are the main responsibilities of your job?
A large part of my job is attending to patient consultations and screenings. Additional responsibilities include general business management, research and project development.
Q. What are you main professional motivators?
My primary motivation is to achieve excellence. Our ethos at ICIM is to strive towards excellence in all of our treatments, diagnostics and patient interactions. It is important for us to educate our patients to help them identify and understand any underlying causes that might be contributing to their ill-health. Seeing patients become healthy again, and empowering them, is rewarding. It is a motivation in itself. (more…)
